Diane Shields combines precious stones, vintage beads, and tribal artifacts from around the world to
create designs that are both elegant and offbeat. She accentuates the inherent beauty of her materials by
placing them in a framework of dramatic contrast. Diane often creates necklaces and bracelets that blur
the boundaries between the Sacred and the Secular.
A Tibetan Buddha may cohabitate with a Celtic cross; Native American Turquoise may find itself placed next
to Chinese Red Coral or a strand of Austrian Crystal; Silk is mixed with Sterling; Wood is mixed with Glass.
Each piece tells its own story in its own way. . .
Diane creates her art in Topanga Canyon, California. |
